Description
Jasmine was back to the vets yesterday, I wanted the nurse to check her eye.
I had been keeping it clean but it looked a bit sore. The nurse asked Phillip to take a look & he said he thought she had rubbed it. We are careful to keep an eye on her but we have to go out of the room sometime!!!
Anyway he gave me some cream to put in her eye plus this ring to go round her neck to stop her using her foot to touch it (maybe its itchy?). I can tell you, I knew Jasmine was going to have none of that but I brought it home. I thought it better than the bucket type which would be a definite NO, NO.
Well come hell or high water she was not wearing it. Her collar could be fitted into it but she got it off. I tightened it but she got her front leg in it & fell off the sofa, hopping about on three legs!!!
I left it for a while & tried again but she did the same things & was getting herself more stressed.
So I came up with the idea of putting this pad protector over her dew claw (which I think was what she was using to rub her eye) I also put some padding inside & then taped it. She felt much better.
Only thing was she found it hard to walk. Silly Jasmine she is a right wuss.
Zlata told her she should be braver.
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. x

Oh she is a very clever gal, finding a way to get rid of those obstructions.
Thankfully you came up with another solution Barbara.
Hopefully Jasmine will heal quickly and safely now that she can rest without scratching.
Zalta appears to be very concerned as well, thanks for sharing.

Poor Jasmine. Don't blame her for not wanting that thing around her neck. Some dogs tolerate these contraptions, but many won't. I had to place one of those "cones of shame" on Chloe. She wouldn't even move with it on--stood like a statue. But, she was really smart, and I told her not to "scratchie," and, pointing to the cone, I told her if she did I would put that thing on her. She was a good kid and never did scratch. Let's hope that thing on Jasmine's eye lid heals quickly. At least Zlata looks comfy on the ring.
You are so clever with Zlata. They are all so different, some want to helped and others NOT!
Oh, oh, can't blame her, great captures!
At least it was a soft collar. Here our doggies get plastic nightmare cones. I hope she feels better soon!
Poor poor thing Barb I do hope she gets relief and is well on the way to recovery great captures and nicely worked my friend lovely production!!!
Aw, she's being a bad patient, bless her heart.
Very clever here! Beautiful work.
Awww,,, my baby...
I don't blame her at all. the surgeon said I was on light duty, but I'm finding ways to get around the restriction
