Description
This is the beginning of a rough trip to Skippers Canyon on the Shotover River near Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. In 1862, two shearers (as in sheep), Thomas Arthur and Harry Redfern, discovered gold along the banks of the Shotover River. triggering a gold rush. A year later Queenstown was a mining town with streets and permanent buildings.

Lovely to see you enjoying the sights of New Zealand. I have never been game enough to take on the Skippers it has a bad reputation even though the views are magnificent.
