Description
Luke AFB is a training base for the F-35. The Lockheed Martin F-35 'Lightning II' is 5th generation family of single-seat, single-engine, all weather stealth multi-role fighters.
Since the beginning of the year the security forces at Luke are cracking down on picture tacking of the aircraft, usually during take-off and landing. So it was a rare opportunity during the 'Open House' on 17 and 18 March this year to take pictures of the aircraft, this one with its bomb bays open.
