Beautiful and sad, but the way life is. The blanket you couldn't live without as a small child eventually becomes a dust rag. The Tonka trucks and dolls that got you through tough times, are either sitting on a closet shelf awaiting the next generation or are at the mid-level of the local dump. The Past shapes us but doesn't contain us. Marvelous work!
The past should be a teacher, not a master.
