A Slice of a Tree Stump.
Have a beautiful and peaceful Sunday. Still a bit of frost here, but less windy. Cloudy too.
Thank you for visiting. :)

Viewing the thumbnail, I thought I saw the snout and eyes of a pig resting on the tree trunk (snout to the lower left). That would have been creepy. Sliced indeed
Have an awesome Sunday Helle a superb shot we're suffering the aftermath of 12inches of snow my friend!!
It was doomed!
beautiful find - great capture
It always makes me sad to see a fallen tree. I do understand that it is necessary in most cases. Lovely image Helle!
Easily the weirdest tree stump I have ever seen, and I've seen tonnes of them. Looks like a glob of barf sitting on top of a dinner plate ensconced inside a bird's nest. Evidently there were a lot of ancillary branches running up the trunk which should explain the cuts on the outside perimeter. Great capture, Helle.
I've always found these cross-sections of trees to be quite fascinating. Wonderful shot, Helle!
