I finally finished it! Took me only a week but it gave me lots of troubles. The program crashed three times and like if it wasn't enough, we lost power twice yesterday... The ship in the foreground is an Akirov type fighter and the big one in the background is an Exodus class battle cruiser. The Exodus was modeled in Rhino. The fighter was modeled in Bryce 4 and the hole thing was rendered in Bryce 4 and slightly enhanced in Photoshop. The finished pic is more than a 100Mb and 1 300 000 polys.

I like it. The fighter is new. But, if you ever saw the movie "Aliens", the one with the colonial marines, well the battle cruiser bears a bit of a resemblence to the Conestoga Class - USS Sulaco, the destroyer that the marine force travelled in. Don't get me wrong I like your work. And idea though, if you want to cut down your file size you might consider rendering the background, stars, planets etc. as one image. Then your ships as another with a solid color backgound, and then compile the two as layers in Photoshop and mask out the solid color background. Sort of like the way they do blue screen effects in movies. -Bill

Great job Korborak! , Glad you got the hang of Rhino already. I like the cruiser alot , it seems to have been influenced by Babylon5 I bet.
