Description
The other day Richard posted a great shot of a county courthouse. This is a picture I took over ten years ago in my city.
Even though if you notice the times on clock being only a few minutes apart, the sun was in the left capture about 2 and half minutes after one on right. It was pretty blinding and had to close my eyes and aim mostly with a quick peek to make sure I was somewhat framed. So no photo manip of the sun.

I'm with Rod on your handling of the intense light of the sun, and not blowing out the image. The building (in the left shot) has clarity and presence despite the sun. In fact, the sun almost looks like a moon, if it weren't for the light sky. And you got it right behind the cupola---this is a really fine shot, Steve. And the other is just as good, you got real clarity and presence in the brick, the detailing, and even in the uppermost columns with their beautiful capitals and that big dark green 'crown'. A really fine duo of pics. Great to see your photography---I know you've posted a bunch in your gallery, but I haven't seen a lot among your recent works, and it reminds people that you have a really fine photographic eye. (And 10 years ago, too.)
