Description

This is behind the British lines. I believe this is roughly where the main field hospital was located along with other "support" functions. The Hudson is prominent and formed a vital supply line for various forces over the years. It is still fairly wide at this point. This is also near an exit to the park, and we decided to mosey on up alongside the river to Schuylerville (http://revolutionaryday.com/usroute4/schuylerville/default.htm) and conclude our Saratoga visit. Siri kept us on track but she did have some interesting, unintended side trips as the roads can criss-cross and just not cooperate. I'm reminded of the story about paths being laid out by following the tracks of wandering cattle. I think we found those paths and some fool paved them to add to the fun. Anyhow, the visit was interesting and that is where we go next. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

With that altitude they would have a considerable dominating range. They look rather newly made. Nice photo, gives an idea of the river and terrain. And with all the bushes and woods to sneak around in. And the best sneakers won. Keep up the good work! :-)
