One of my earliest photos---with Helle's 2MP point-and-shoot!
I don't know why I put a frame around it---I think I was making a print for my father, before he passed. This is Florida...
And, to show you how green I was, I was absolutely undone by those gulls! They kept getting in the way of my picture, and I wanted to scream! I kept shouting, "I'm shooting over here!!!" (I couldn't figure out how to deal with "motion": I thought the world was supposed to stand still when you shot, dammit. Drawings and paintings don't move: Why in the world would birds?) (I had a lot to learn about cameras back then...)
I spruced it up this morning, to give it more 'lift'.

and here I thought that the purpose was to show the flight of the seagulls! the motion is what got me - "picture perfect" capture
Marvelous! The gulls really do make this special.
They look so close my friend, feels like Petaluma Cal, and the movie "The Birds". We have a good amount of gulls in co. But the blue Jays are the noisy ones and crows. I enjoy your shot. A flock of seagulls.

Ha! The only thing that is wrong with this photo is, you were not suppose to take such a cool shot with such an old 2mp Camera LOL! I really really love the motion in this. The dynamic life and still... the background stayed clear. LOL! I can see in my head how you reacted on the gulls. Just like Donald Duck on the Woody Woodpecker. I can even hear them sing BABABABABABABADIA ;D
I love seagulls, they are pests, but they're so pretty. the birds in this shot MAKE the whole photo come alive. it feels like I'm a part of their flock!

I love how the gulls have given your beautiful capture just that little extra and gosh they got so lovely and close to you. I can see how they would be annoying if you just wanted the quay but I think they have added a great focal point to make this a top capture. :)
I like the fact the focus is beyond the birds for a change!

LOL! You're funny. :P Of course the gulls are the whole point of a shot like this. Anybody can take a picture of a dock! :P I would have clicked off a million frames as fast as I could and HOPED for something like this! Terrific image.
