Kinnie (Arquinia) and I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween - and deliver some VERY good news out of Puerto Rico - and in these dark days we need all the good news we can get....
Anyway, I just had a comment on my latest T.N.A. post from our pal Dan (Diemamker). He says he's ok - running on generator power - but things there are still pretty messed up. It will probably be a while before he's able to post anything, but he said rest assured he and the Girls will be back! Good news indeed! Stay safe, Dan - we're all pulling for you, brother!
Kinnie's been practicing her Fae Magick - and decided this was the perfect time to get ol' Jack-o-lantern all lit up.... In more ways than one! She's having way too much fun with this!
Kinnie's spell was created with a new software toy I just picked up in my continuing quest to see how much software learning it takes to make my head explode. I just bought Amberlight from Smith Micro on sale for 35 bucks. It's pretty cool, but I have a lot to learn about it. It's kind of like Apophysis on steroids - you have an amazing amount of control over the flames you can create.
The gazebo background is a freebie by our buddy Steve (Eekdog). Thanks, buddy, and I hope you're doing much better, bro.

You did pretty well with the Amberlight, Rod. Kinnie's spell looks great and so does Kinnie! Glad to hear you got to talk to Dan and he's okay. Hope he stays that way. I was reading earlier that they're having a severe mold problem down there. That whole thing is a disgrace and a shame to this country.

This is pretty cool! Can't wait to see what you do with the new toy. You made my week with the news that Dan is okay. I have been so worried about him. Maybe now that the do-nothing electric company has been fired things will get done faster. Keep your fingers crossed.

Most glad he's ok and knows we are concerned for him. He been in my daily prayers. She sure has some impressive powers. Hope you enjoy the rest of Halloween. I appreciate your trying to make your head explode with more new software. Always exploring! This truly looks like K is spinning the pumpkin out of pure air, and it's sending off all kinds of energy waves and lights. I like the neon greens surrounding it---and how her hair and dress radiate that hue. I recognize the Steve touch in the background---I didn't know he had backgrounds that others can use. (I'd love to use his foregrounds too, though I'd tend to just look at them instead.) And you have rushing horizontal lines behind the big pumpkin-creation, to add to the 'whooshing' sense of it all. This feels like a spirit trying her hand at halloween, out of respect to all of us. It's lovely and enchanting; love what you did with the halloween theme. (Well, I'm at an hour and I've only done 5 images here! But at least you can take it as a compliment: I spent a lot of time with the images. I"ll be back for more before I step away, but I at least caught up with all of your October postings. If you're away, I hope you're having a great time: It must feel like you're retired, but not quite...I mean, I assume it takes time to find the 'rhythm', like your body doesn't quite know how to act. I could be wrong, but it's how I would feel...Anyway, I hope your Halloween was splendid, and enjoy your travels, wherever you are!

Happy Halloween (come late). Great render. Now I know why the Great Pumpkin never showed. Thanks a lot bud! Teen Josie was so upset, spent all that time waiting in the pumpkin patch for nothing! Now I can explain to her it was all your and Kinne's fault. Hehe

A wonderful magical image with super effects. I hope you have lots of fun with the new software, you look to have mastered it pretty well all ready. Glad to hear that things are starting to pick up in Puerto Rico. It seems to take ages for even the basics to be done after a tragedy these days. Everything seems to be tied up with red tape. :)
