Description
Kargaz (The Red Wizard): Well, it’s not exactly the Royal Suite. Padak, but it’s comfortable enough.
Padak: A lot more comfortable than the last ‘hotel’ you stayed in.
Kargaz: And it’s only thirty days this time.
Padak: The way I see it, you’re no threat to anyone, but you must realize, Kargaz, that you just can’t go chatting to little girls nowadays. People are very sensitive – rightly so – about that.
Kargaz: So the Chief Constable keeps telling me.
But tell me, what brings you here? You haven’t visited us for some time.
Padak: Rumours, Kargaz, rumours. Someone is searching for the so-called Key of Time.
One of those ancient magical artifacts that seems to promise eveything to the owner, yet actually grants nothing but disaster.
Kargaz: Silvanu was rabbitting on about it last time I visited her.
Padak: Well, as soon as you get out of here I suggest you visit her again and warn her – from me – that it a dangerous object to have around.
Kargaz: You could tell her that yourself.
Padak: She does not like me. I told her she was vain, spoilt and incredibly selfish. She has never forgiven me …
