Outstanding work Helle. God bless.
Just wonderful, Helle, so cheerful and such fun!
Reminds me of the fairy tale of Nils Holgersson. Wonderful image, love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see a children's story in here somewhere!! Lovely!!
This is so much fun - takes me back to those magical childhood years about a million years ago! LOL
definitely a treat
I love this fun image Halle it has a very happy feel to it. :)
WONDERFUL!!! You should illustrate children's books! You're so very talented!
cool
I cast my vote with those who believe the world would benefit from you doing children's book art! This is such a delight! I seem to recall a zebra ...
This makes me think of a poem by Jack Prelutsky entitled, "Ride a Purple Pelican." It's been a favorite of mine for many years, but when I married Bill, it went even higher on the list. It's because Bill has a New York accent, so even if I told you why it was funny it probably wouldn't translate very well. Suffice to say he "talks funny," and this short poem contains a multitude of words that give away his New York roots! LOL!
So lovely done, yes it remember me a book of childhood too!
Yes, you definitely had fairy tales in your mind when you did this! (Whether consciously or not.) Love the image, a kid riding a giant duck! Right out of the Grimm Brothers, or H.C.Andersen. And you have two towns nestled in the background---one on each side of the image: That's real medieval stuff, fairy tale stuff. And the kid turning to wave. Terrific piece, Helle, and I love the quick purples and flowers and slate blues in the background for trees, and your quick clouds...just enough for the details. A total delight, in theme and execution.
Helle, I'm at an hour and 30 minutes, and I still have some galleries to do, so I have to stop for now. I think I did 18 images or so...but I'll get more before I step away. (I haven't commented on that vivid watercolor, the upload before this.) But it's a real joy to be here! And I'll drop you a letter soon...
