Quite some time ago, there was a musical marketing trend wherein anything using acoustic instruments was rebranded as "unplugged." Lots of rockers got their second wind by playing "unplugged" arrangements on TV. And then you started having groups like Nirvana using effects pedals on their "unplugged" sessions and the Stones had Ron Wood playing an electric Fender on theirs and the whole thing was revealed to be just a passing phase. This render features a great Gretsch-style semi-hollowbody and a tweedy amp, both of which are designed by my good friend Trevor and available as freebies. Trevor (known as the vendor Td3d over at Daz) sometimes gives away products that are among the very best digital reproductions of real-world instruments that I have seen. They are Iray-only, so I do my own custom 3DL work on them since I still use that rendering engine. Trevor - if you're reading this please share a link where folks can download these goodies!! I can't find my copy of the link anywhere. Post-processing in GIMP. Enjoy!
