Stellar scene....
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
I was like this once - great memory
I'm stepping away for a while, so I want to do a few more pieces before I go. I wanted to do this when you posted it: Your cropping feels effortless and intuitive, it's a great build up to Eligh. A monumental structure, upon which stands a delicate articulate human being. (I mean visually articulate---his figure, though relaxed, feels sleek and delicate by comparison to the mass of rocks beneath him.) And that seemingly perilous connection between the upper rock and the one in the center---the one that seems to be 'holding up' the upper rock---makes Eligh's stance seem perilous, like he's balancing on these stones---effortlessly too. Your use of high key (the sky) accentuates him all the more. And the foundation of the shot is a deep dark set of shadows beneath him, with muscle and grit. A terrific shot. Kind of the delicate place of humans in the massivity of nature. Even though these boulders aren't that big, they feel like they were spit out of the bowels of the earth, with the bloom of your grandson on top.
