Aeshna cyanea my garden Bournemouth
I recently placed a couple of rotting logs at the pondside and was thrilled today that she made much use of it, once she noticed.

Its all going on in your garden but then again everything is just perfect for wild critters.
This may be the best of the series. An amazing shot. If you build it (or leave it laying around) they will come.
Great capture here as well.
Wonderful shot...
Absolutely beautiful and well done close up !!
wonderful colored insect 😀
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Love the contrast with the wood color.
in addition to the primal beauty of this sight, your composition is a stunner: With that big 'crater' in the wood---the dark rotted part that the hawker is in---it makes a great balance to the swirling wood behind it. It's like a cove in a gigantic rock formation on a mountainside. Terrific shot; and the insect wings and body are full of wonderful detail.
