Description
By UK standards Bournemouth is a relatively young town with a short history, only becoming a small town in the middle 1800's.
So this building in Winton is a relic of those early years. It has had new windows, and the smoking ban hit it hard. But at least you can't smell the tobacco in the street like we used to!
This is the view from Waitrose car park opposite.
"THE WINTON WORKMENS CLUB AND INSTITUTE.
Founded in 1894,a place to relax and enjoy a well deserved drink with your mates after the end of a days work. Also the ideal place to meet for the retired to enjoy some good company. And after some 120 years we are still HERE.And doing well."

Wonderful capture and history
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Great capture of a nice old building. I like the idea of neighborhood places like this. We have so few of them in Los Angeles.
Great nostalgia!!
