Several weeks ago I went on an outing with a wheelchair-bound friend. Our goal was to find old barns, out-buildings, homes, and farm equipment to photograph. We had a great day that was surprisingly productive. Among the discoveries was this old abandoned house that was about 50' off the road. We stopped in front of it and I climbed straight up a small embankment to get a good shot. My friend was in the truck and could not see me once I got up to the house. When I got to a good vantage point, I took a few photos and noticed another way down so I need not scramble down the embankment. As I stepped out into the road about 40' in front of my truck, my friend asked me who I was talking to. I had not seen anyone to talk to and told my friend this. She insisted that she had heard voices. We made a few "spooky remarks" and continued our trip. When I got home that night, I downloaded the images to my computer and started looking at them. Take a close look at the cropped view and you will see what I saw. Imagine my surprise when I came to this photo. I called my friend and told her what I saw in the photo and she repeated that she had really heard voices at that house. All in all, a rather eerie experience, lol. I know that it is just my brain seeing faces and figures in the door and windows - when in reality there are only randomly arranged patterns of shadows and lights that no more represent any reality than does seeing faces or animals in clouds. I did get a decent old-house shot, and with a bit extra, lol. Lee
