The care taker of the school where I work said he couldn't start the tractor. I asked "Why not?"
He unscrewed a bolt and lifted a plate over the battery compartment and revealed THIS!
AW! I ran to get my camera before anything changed. When I came with the camera, NOTHING had changed. I got 2 good photos.
These 2 little ones did not even blink as I took their photos. They didn't move.
They are as large as my thumb, in other words, really small birds.
We heard squeeking in the air - he said it was the parents.
I asked how they got inside. He showed me the way he had seen the parents enter and leave.
Amazing!
Enjoy!

Wildlife has an amazing ability to adapt to humans in their world. I wish humans would try half as hard to allow the animals to live in peace. I love this capture Michael.
Beautiful and cute !!
big baby :)
great discovery
WOW! Excellent capture!
guess he won't be using the tractor for a while. Great photo.
You're so right!
Not such a safe place if cats are close by. Most of the time old wrecks house mice. Cool shot.
With the covering plate on, there's NO way a cat can get in! The parents have chosen a good hiding place.
Delightful find! I hope that they will be allowed to stay there until it is time to fly away....
The care taker is keeping an eye on them so he won't disturb the nest until after they've flown away.
I have to agree with Krittermom.... What a fun and delightful surprise! Great photo, Michael. Looks like they have a safe home.
great capture and cute birds
