These books are not local to my home. Some of the individuals written about were featured speakers at professional meetings and some I met as part of my development of the F-15 “Eagle” and the “F-18 “Hornet”. One of the authors went to prison after a time as a Congressman. The books on the Falklands War relate to my work on the AV-8 “Harrier” in U.S. Parlance, but are specific to the British versions. I have been to Rye Canyon but that was before I had heard of the Skunk Works or even that Kelly Johnson was a University of Michigan alumnus. I met with the designers of the transmission on the AH-56 “Cheyenne” rigid rotor helicopter.
The books on generic art and color were to understand Spirit1’s regional artist book collection I saw at her house.

The title specifically refers to Boyd, Robin Olds (Fighter Pilot), Kelly, R.G.Smith, and Randy Cunningham (Fox Two), on the bottom row in the middle. General Slaney was a friend of Spirit1 and self published his book, on the top shelf middle. Reading the missing elements decades later avoids blind side comments from the disillusioned.
I worked at Mc Donnell Douglas in St. Louis from Nov 1986 to April 1992 as computer programmer. Was caught up in programmer layoff of Feb of 1992.They gave us 3 months to find another job inside or outside of the company. I supported the new releases of the VM/SP operating systems.
My most recent book is one of those coffee table book as I work through 4 books I have on the Musli takeover of the World before Charlemagne. Roland, now there is a word found in many Armies now. Also a keyboard for music.
