Hope they didn't get hit by the train.
Steve's comment ("Hope they didn't get hit by the train") brings out a heavy thought: What if these were all that were left of a huge train accident? However they got here, this is the first time I've really pondered, heavily, where these abandoned shoes and socks come from. It may be because of the tight crops which bring us into the shoe or sock closely. And the contrasts of the objects with those gray pebbled pavements. It's also because you captured at least 2 pieces of footwear that look totally wearable (shots 1 through 3). So why are they here? And the slipper---more beat up, but a slipper? Lost in a trainyard? This shot brings all that to mind. Very well composed, and the objects really stand out. They're almost like homeless portraits, only of objects. This has power. Fine job on all 4, with meticulous pov, composition and detail.
Yea, but we can also just hope, that it is another crazy kid throwing it from the train. Atleast the shoes. Pitty though, they looks nice and so does the sock. Great shots as usual. Guess they were not your size, Harry? ;-)
