I hope everyone zooms your pictures, they truly deserve it. In zoom, we can see a lot of detail here: The front side of this hill isn't just a dark 'wall': It's got lots of rust colors and greens, and lots of textures. I love how all those bushes and trees lead to a big electric tower, and a few silhouetted trees on the top. And the foreground is more rusty autumnal hues (even if this picture wasn't taken in autumn). And by contrast, you have that bright sky with dramatic clouds. And the long sweeping flat valley on the right. There's a lot going on here! And yes, the clouds turn the sky into a huge inverted carpet...wonderful shot.
