Floribunda roses that is, captured 8/15/16 @ 8:45 am, looking into the sun, in front of my condominium complex.

Now this is black and white: A stunning 'sea' of flowers just coming at us in a wave. We can see a little sidewalk in the right (or some kind of surface), and a tad of a building (maybe?) at the top, just peeking through. But, with your perspective, those seem far away: The flowers are the thing here, and they roll over to us in a wave, and your sharpness and high contrasts (of black and white) make them a big raucous crowd either moving toward us or watching a ballgame. (Well, metaphorically.) You break up the solid black of the upper left with those big roses sticking out above the 'crowd'. Terrific piece, and your black and white is perfect. I'm sorry some of your regular fans aren't on RR now (Helle, Denise, CavalierLady, etc), because you've posted some real beauties of late.

Black & White from California always cuts off from the Black Dahlia. Fortunately, when Whitey was captured in Santa Monica the mood blinked to bright white as the venue shifted from the tennis court of Billy Jean King to the Jai Lai fron ton of TELEX.
