Great underwater scene and render....
Hey, this is great! I really love the pulp vibe you achieved here. I love the color of the water and the bubbles are FANTASTIC. I have two thoughts: the Robot is getting a little lost in the lighting/colors behind him. Perhaps moving him a little to the right would help? Also, since you have the characters in such bulky costumes, perhaps exaggerating their poses a little would help convey that they are shocked and reacting to what's happening in front of them? Maybe bend them at the waist so they are looking up at your super-cool sea creature, and tilt the weapons up at the figure, too. Although it makes sense that they were caught flat-footed by its sudden arrival, that doesn't "sell" the action as much as it would if their poses were a little more dynamic. But, I'm just going on about trivial things. This is a REALLY GREAT piece! I love the tone, color story and postwork treatment you used for the halftone dots (this is one illustration that just comes alive when viewed full size). I'm very impressed! Well done and thanks for sharing it with us.
