ever curious, me - was this what you saw from the start, or did it take on its own nature during your postwork process? it truly is such a well finished image, simple upon first glance, then as i sit with it and look at the details, the focal points, the colouring, the bits of scratches, and the lighting [gads, the glorious subdued lighting!!!], there is so much thought/detail to be had, so no, not quite simple, but yet elegant and understated, which, for me, has a louder voice than any scream could. and speaking of screams, i imagine him, part of an army, p'raps freshly dead & remade and quickly understanding his own power[s], pleased by them, stopping for a mo' upon the field to admire this newly found strength before wreaking more destruction...
