Description
There is a challenge on Flickr about what it was like when one was 17, and whilst I was searching my old books of prints I remembered taking this picture in 2015 (When I was most definitely not 17). I messed about making it look old, but the horrible plastic bath tubs give the game away! The original is on RR Here.
What I decided to post instead is Here but I warn you it will only be interesting if you click on the link I provide under it.

Very nice. The sepia works marvelously with this image. Well composed photo!
Beautiful capture and great monochromatic color choose !!
Nice shot
this photo is very good, but your Flicker post and link was absolutely fascinating. Thank you for sharing
Those Sh&t Eagles in the foreground look similar to ours!
I like this in sepia very much! It gives the shot an old-fashioned feeling, despite the newer boats.
Sepia sure puts a dated impression on this new version indeed.
Oh lucky you -- thanks for sharing your experience on Flicker.

The small beached boat is a wonderful symbol to go with your narrative. It is reminiscent of sunny days sailing on the bay until, as you put it, “I became both achy and priced out of the hobby.” I also was a sailor for a time but now I get my kicks riding motorcycles.
The article on the visit of H.R.H. Margaret was a very interesting look into a formal world that has largely disappeared. I wonder what ever happened to the Golden Hinde?
love the nostalgia effect of color setting and its an impressive motive 😃
The sepia looks good!!
