Work had began and this time Miho and I were on an oceanographic research trip. We had taken a sail boat which Miho had fitted with some ultra-tech for her to do some much need research work. Though out our such journeys we always came across beautiful uninhabited islands with wonderful pristine beaches. And in most cases we would go ashore to explore the island and relax a bit. Sometimes even pretend there was treasure hidden underneath the sand and take a old unless metal detector and play with it combing the beach sand. We had found a lot of junk that way. If Miho really wanted to find treasure it would be child's play. Miho had already invented and created the tech that could 'see' a 360 view in color under the ground as if it was hollow and you were there moving inside the ground. So looking underneath the groud to see where the treasure was hidden was no challenge at all. Now this was going to be a week long trip and well there were tons of chores to be done on the boat and for this Miho hatched a plan to get me to do all of it !!! This was the first island we came across in our trip. Miho told me she was going to go ashore and setup a volleyball net and we were going to have a game. If I could sore a single point, she would do all the chores for the whole trip and if I lost all games with 0 score, I will need to do all the chores. Now winning against Miho was never possible but 1 point.... I thought to myself maybe by fluke I will get it so I agreed. She was wearing a bikini and I was already distracted by her sight.... She got off the boat with the net and the beachball and went ahead to set it up. I went into the cabin to set some of the data gathering to auto mode and then went ashore myself.... The net was already setup and then I laid my eyes on Miho sitting there on the beachball with a mischievous look having taken the bikini off already, I spread my arms in dismay and said "Not fair !" and Miho just laughed..... I knew then I was going to be doing all the chores for the full trip.... With her like that no way I was even going to sore 1 point..............

I was playing with the scene that I had created for "The girl in Orange..." when I decided to do another beach render. This time with Miho playing volleyball like in the "Join me for a game" render... But once I put the beachball into the scene, I thought of posing Miho sitting on it. Once I did that, I could not help smiling.... Miho looked so good on it.... So I tweaked her expression a bit to give her a mischievous look. The scene was looking nice. But I still wanted to put a volleyball net to indicate that she wanted to play. So I placed the net behind her. But with that pose it did not look that good. Then I thought to myself why not put it behind the camera and make it reflect on the beachball. So I placed it behind the camera and turned up the reflection on the beachball really high. The reflection looked really good but it was a bit empty. So I added 'me' with my hands spread to go with the story and also placed the boat behind the camera so that it too reflected on the ball. The scene started to look really good. Finally added some palm trees and then lastly added the water. I used my own water material and also added a white plane under the water so that the blue color of the water was showing nicely. Basically to reflect the light back from under the water to give it that color. You can also see a different hue of the water where it is over the beach sand as the beach sand is yellow. The last thing I did was to add shoes and a bikini bottom (simulated in Marvelous designer) near her feet and change the color hue of the ball to see the red and orange colors on it sides and the middle looking like a mirror. I really love how this render looks.
