Description

There was a store near a former job that specialized in vintage movie posters and lobby cards, and nearby there was also a bookstore that specialized in Golden Age crime fiction. Between the two, I got to see a lot of classic adverts every time I walked past to go to lunch. Postwork in GIMP. The Creech, of course, is well-known to anyone who's used Poser though anyone can download and use this free figure if they do an internet search. Linn is one of my favorite V4 characters made by P3Design. I'd love to see her ported over to G3F one day. Enjoy!

Holy smokes! You totally excel yourself with this! Awesome! A.W.E.S.O.M.E! This looks like one original movieposter of the 20s to 40s. Also very authentic work on the advertising, phrases that nowadays would sound awkward. You absolutely caught that spirit, these vibes that -still- make me want to watch whatever it is... hmmm... I'll do that tonight, I got some pearls of those days on my shelf :)

I always dug the hyperbole that was used to hype B-movies of all stripes. Sometimes, studios would actually concoct the title of a film before the screenplay was even written, just to maximize the potential advertising copy. Val Newton's films ("I walked with a zombie," "Curse of the cat people") fell into that category. It was practically its own art form. Nowadays all we have are misleading trailers that include scenes that have been cut from the final version of the film due to studio meddling.
