Description
This Rat Rod is on display at an informal car show at West Gate, Glendale, Arizona. These informal car shows are held almost weekly here. This is the same location where this weekend the play-offs of the March Madness' Final Four takes place.
Typically, a Rat Rod is a late 1920s to late 1950s highly modified coupe or roaster. The Rat Rod movement started in the 1960s in Southern California by the Chicano community as a counter-culture movement to the traditional Hot Rods. Rat Rods are meant to be driven. This particular one, as are all Rat Rods here in Arizona, is street legal. It has a V-8 engine and other goodies.
