all the sand coming from Nevada no doubt. the wind has been blowing hard for 3 days. I expect it to reach Texas soon, but maybe our forecast rain will get it out of the atmosphere
@Richardphotos! Richard, we don't need Nevada's sand, we have our own. The local pressure gradients that cause the winds, are generated here in Arizona. They are not in the upper atmosphere. This sand is locally generated. I'm sure Texas has its own sand too. Systems that are large enough to create enough energy to get the sand into the upper atmosphere where it can travel around the world are very rare.
