Description
The "Wild Hunt" is a Northern midwinter myth that has fascinated me since I was a child. You can read more about it at http://norse-mythology.org/the-wild-hunt/ for starters. Given that it still feels like midwinter where I am, I thought I'd share this render with you. The Anglo Saxon legend of Herne the Hunter has been associated with the Wild Hunt and a broader Germanic pagan tradition by scholars such as Grimm.
Lots of postwork in GIMP.
Enjoy!
