Description
This is a view from the Ford Tri-Motor. It shows the Phoenix International Raceway (PIR), an one mile oval track on the left and the Gila River in the middle of the picture. The Gila River still has some water in its channel from the last release of water from the storage dams both of the Salt and Verde Rivers about a month ago. The Sierra Estrella Mountains are the closer of the two ranges. Our flight altitude is about 2,000-ft.
