Description
Music today often leaves a lot to be desired. I find more often than not, that today I appreciate the music from my youth; even that which I never really listened to. Perhaps it's a little bit to do with growing older, though I suspect that more of it has to do with the degrading talent and change in popularity of different types of music today.
This is perhaps a bit of a tribute to those artists that break from the mold of today and stick to utilizing their talents to live their passion.

I love renders of musicians on stage, because there is nothing like seeing live performances. It is very difficult to make ends meet if you are the average professional musician, and those who go out there every night playing clubs are true troupers and always have my respect.
As for today's music? As always, most corporate Top 40 music is made for a certain demographic. There's still plenty of good music being crafted today, and some of it pops into the Top 40, too. But there's no shame in admitting you're not a teenager anymore and expect something more substantial. In fact, it's probably psychologically healthy!
