"Evening Serenade", original size is 48”x23" digital illustration that I completed December 22, 2016. This finished work shows many changes from an earlier illustration that was done for a client’s CD promotion titled Parlor Piano in 2004. Due to a tight deadline the original was rushed and I was never satisfied with the results, even though the client loved it. The rework featured represents a country estate setting during a time in the late 19th century when lighting was generated by gas or kerosene lamps. As the sun sets a young girl is enchanted by the piano music she hears coming from the home across the road. The woman at the piano is awaiting her gentleman caller who is shown on the far right arriving by horse and buggy for an evening out.
