Description

As we finished our tour of LEXINGTON, we noticed that several of these were busy working what had been an empty pier. Mrs. W thinks tugs are cool and immediately picked up that they all had the same surname. This is Eric. He is pushing something large and gray around. I should add that the date is 10 November 2016. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

just looked up the designation - this is USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) is a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship of the United States Navy. The ship was named for the Battle of Iwo Jima of World War II. Very cool

I live at the seaside & see or used to see lots of tug boats bringing the ships into the river. Its the North Sea which goes into the river Humber. Super little tug.
