Hello Rendosians !
Here is a capture made yesterday when I was in Paris. It represents one of the entrance of the Parisian metropolitan.
This entrance was designed by Hector Guimard in Art Nouveau style in the beginning of the 20th century.
Half of these ornaments were demolished before being protected in 1960-1970.
I like this one because it is near the Flowers Market on the Île de la Cité (4e arrondissement)

Art Nouveau YES! Art moderne - NO! These destructive architects have ruined much of Europe's old world charm. Glad to read these stations are protected by law. Nice photo! Keep up the good work! :-) PS - any photo of the station or trains? Would be fun to see which old trains are still running or if all have been replaced with modern trains.

Allez ! Allez ! C'est en Chine ! On voit bien, avec ces gens au pied du réverbère ! Encore une copie qu'ils ont faite là-bas... Belle photo, comme tu en as le secret qui rend un hommage mérité à cette architecture à protéger. C'est beau Paris...quelques jours !

Cette magnifique photo est un si bel hommage à un visage encore vivant de Paris, et c'est aussi ce qui me fait partir à la découverte de la capitale avec des yeux nouveaux à chaque fois que je m'y rends. Cela dit, j'avais moi aussi l'intention de publier une photo d'une entrée de métro...tant pis...pour moi ;-)
