Description
The St. Peter and Paul church is the village church of Oberammergau. This picture was taken during New Years Eve services. While in Germany I went to services three times. That's the thing to do while there.

what a stunning shot
Lavish and gaudy Baroque decor - much white and gold in an attempt to emulate heaven. Shows the people here were quite affluent. Glad you took the photo from the balcony so we have a beautiful overview of the inside of the church. Such photos are always difficult. Unfortunate about the light from the chandelier, but it doesn't detract much since Baroque architecture is usually symmetric.Keep up the good work! Soon we all will be familiar with Oberammergau. :-)
