The beautiful bark of my Birch tree.
He reminds me of the neckwear of Jane Austen's clergymen.

Oh wow - fascinating!
Yes I can see that!!!!
LOL! It is an amazingly beautiful shot.
I love this tree , yours has beautiful bark.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Wonderful detail on the 'collar'. I have several growing near me. I like how they peel as if they were sun burnt,
Funny how nobody has mentioned the little face!
I like the little face Andrea !!
lol outstanding find and effectful perspective 😀
Super shot Andrea :)
I saw the face as soon as I zoomed...though your Jane Austin comment definitely helped. Full size this thing is a big spilling vortex, just piling down into the bottom of the frame. Beautiful piece of de-formation, and I can see the clergy collar, as well as a number of old collar-type designs. The decay on top is splendid. With lots of white behind for contrast. Big splash of a shot, like someone dropped something in the bark, and it went "bah-loooooooop!"
