Description
The former monastery church is today the parsonage church of the city parish St. Mang. The history of the church and monastery date back to the Irish missionary Magnus, who was active in this part of Bavaria in the 800 th century AD.
Over the following centuries the church was expended and the tower dates from the year 1200 AD. The church and monastery were destroyed during the 30 Year War (1618-1648).
At the beginning of the 18th century the church and monastery were rebuilt by Johann Jakob Herkommer in the Italian Baroque style.
