Description
Always worth a second look. Another shot of the elegant riders and their trusty steeds as they slowly trot forward along the route, celebrating the 50th birthday anniversary of my city, captured way back in August of 2007.
The third horse from the left looks much smaller than its fellow mounts.

You got the full regalia here, and on an angle that's illusory because they feel 'frontal' even though they're not; and with the angles behind and in front, they appear to almost be in a straight line. (Maybe they are, but it doesn't look so.) Strong composition, Harry, with the white building behind, setting off their colors and regalia, and those verticals---poles, tree---balancing out the mainly horizontal flow of the pic. (And the stark white building behind---if you coaxed out that white, good job---helps set off their regalia. Another sweet shot from this parade. The reds and blacks are fine contrasts too.
(As you've noted, it's stunning how few spectators there are in these shots. It seems so sparse. I wonder how the marchers felt, seeing so few people on either side...)
