That or "Hey, put the book down... book? Where'd you get that? They haven't been invented yet!"
Again, didn't read the notes. Was too busy finding the correct angle to copy all three panels of this triptych and had to settle for a head-on of the central panel. What detail! This is just amazing in real life.
Isn't it amazing how much Jewish houses in the 1st century resembled European housing in the Medieval period?
Who would have guessed?
The colors in this, particularly the reds, just screamed out: keep shooting! We'll tell you when to stop.
All sorts of symbolism with the candles here. (I used to remember a lot of this, but I've burnt my brain out with kitten videos. Sorry.)
Zoom and feast your eyes on the details.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

the colours are striking and strong - she's reading 5 shades of grey?
Dagnabit, Mike. That's good eyesight!
Flemish late 1500s or early 1600s. I don't remember the artist's name. Good photo of this. Yes, The Annunciation. Artists at the time didn't know much about the world beyond their own, hence the book and medieval European house. Beautiful paint job, but maybe a bit funny in our eyes. Keep up the good work! :-)
That is an amazing picture, beautiful colours.
