Description
Just across the way from my house lives a woman who used to take lodgers like me but seems to have developed severe persecution mania.
This amazing notice appeared in duplicate outside her property and is still there. It seems even the police will be fined £10,000 if they visit without prior arrangement ! So watch it, PC Plod!
She has stripped her extensive garden of lots of lovely trees and erected several metal sheds. We live in an area where removal of trees without permission is illegal and can result in huge fines, Her next door neighbour tells me she has already spent time in Holloway, but none of us know what for. What we do know is that the house belongs to the bank, not her.
My only contact with her was when I was photographing security lights as research for upgrading mine.
She came storming out of her house screaming at me, demanding to know what I was doing. I haven't seen her since.
I love a good mystery, but only if I can solve it !!

My, she sounds like a solicitor/lawyer! I bet she has the body of the last trespasser frozen in a freezer in her cellar, which would explain her fear of anyone trespassing and discovering her secret! I like the bug on the paper! Thanks for the humorous sign. Poor woman, must be totally bonkers. Keep up the good work! :-)

She's probably mentally ill. I knew a manic depressive who lost touch with reality and went way over the paranoid deep end. They had to dose her with enough tranquilizers to drop a horse and then a 6 month stay in the mental hospital.
Illness knows no age, creed, or color !
Sounds like your neighbor has done a one-eighty for some reason, and hopefully she will get the help she needs at this time.
Paranoia is often a result of dementia. Very sad.
