Description
In the tenement living area of a large urban city some where in North American of the 1950s, a youth is scolding his dog for urinating on a fire hydrant. His female companion looks on in disbelief, and a local cat hisses displeasure at the incident.
Influenced by the art and story telling of legendary cartoonist Will Eisner.
This is a digital illustration I created using Vue Complete, Painter 2017, Art Rage 4.5 & Photoshop.
The characters were created using Fuse3D and posed in Mixamo, exported as OBJs to Vue. The dog & cats are DAZ3D models and posed in DAZ3D Studio.

It is by far better that the dog do it on the Hydrant than to do it on the girl's leg
Cool style...Happy New Year, Ken!
very humorous and a very detailed and well composed art. I use to have a Malamute and he would mark his territory about every 10 to 15 feet. after he ran out of urine, he would continue to try. very natural for all animals to mark their area. people mark theirs with fancy home, cars, decorations etc.
LOL, dog's are the same all over the world and the cats probably did a poo in his spare set of sneakers as they are sneaky ! more LOL
Digging the muted tones, it really gives the whole scene that retro vibe and the slim-limbed character have that Eisner-like quality, neat work all around.
~New Years Cheers~
