Tolin moves his now larger family to live with him in the capitol and has a public adoption ceremony to show off his new daughters.

Beautiful ceremony portrait and wardrobe! Love your POV of the balcony and what rich, gorgeous reflections. Such an excellent setting.
And this Emeton. I don't know about him. I'm starting to think he's not wired right. He freaked me out in the dream segment and going farther back his wives died. Even looking at the two brothers together, it occurs to me that Tolin should be king.

Emeton isn't right in the head. But it's physical, not mental. You're right. Tolin was supposed to be the king. He's the oldest. Emeton was the youngest of 3. He should have been the prince-general. He had a genetic disorder that causes seizures. It causes problems while in battle. Very few people know about it so don't tell the nobles.
Don't worry. Things go much better for the girls than they were for Ann. Even Remtani is nice to them. And once Emeton is made aware of what Remtani did, he does take action. Unfortunately, I think Rem's punishment would be a violation of the TOS, so I won't be able to post it here.
