... and our boat sinks slowly in the west ..." Immortal words from Spike Jones and kudus to anyone who can tell us what island we are approaching (in the reference). In this image, we are leaving lower Manhattan and headed for Liberty Island. Mrs. W always wanted to see NYC in more detail, so we finally found a "ferret sitter" who was willing to take on "the hoard" and away we went... just in time for election day! An interesting time to be there. I will be sharing some images from the trip. Had a lovely 5 days there. I'd forgotten what a real city looked like and had to offer. A lot nicer and cleaner than what I remembered from my mid-70's stay but still fascinating. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
