I'm very sorry you're struggling, Harry, and have been for a while. And I'm sorry it's taking you through the cooler season (I hope cooler), and through the end of another year. (I'm just getting through a 2 week bout of a serious flu, where they told me I could get pneumonia if I didn't stay in bed; so I haven't been online more than once or twice, something that's rare for me.) I wanted to wish you all the best in getting past this difficult time in your life, and hope it gets better and easier for you. This upload is a terrific montage---one of your best---the original is another detailed gritty street capture, with textures and grit and decay so typical of your 'street photography' which you do with such panache. (I put 'street photographyin quotes because it usually means random shots of people, which you also do, of course.) It has the great early morning light that you've captured many times before, and the usual scattered leaves, cracks, etc. Your first variation is like music entered the concrete and set it into waves; and you made the concrete black and white, seamlessly done btw. The third, you gave metallic waves to the concrete, like it was made of ribbons of steel and copper, while you left the manhole cover in tact. The fourth, you turned those 'waves' into a big sludge, beautiful and viscous, but ugly and threatening too. And the last, it's like everyone took off and left these nodules in their absence, and they're lush viscous red-cream things, still sitting there, giving a touch of opulence to the gritty under-shot. A terrific team of pictures; and, as always, the original is worth an upload of its own. I'll do a few from your previous uploads, since I fell way behind.
