While hunting in the area, we came across a place for sledding - this is the sign that was posted. then next picture shows the sledding area

Always worry about the at your own risk areas.
With us there is at most a few riding trails, but sleds with dogs I have not seen so far. Fabulous photo, Mike.

Really interesting. Seems like a long way to go out of town to go sledding. But I guess they have to cover their butts with this sign? You know, for liability reasons. I guess it's state land? If it was privately owned I imagine there would be private property signs all over the place. Oh, it's beautiful there, Mike.

Saw the sledding field pic before this. I agree with Eekdog about the "at your own risk" phrasing.
sledding is a risk for sure. living is dangerous to your welfare. what else can we do? I saw the other one first and this tells the story

Such a beautiful healthy looking green to those trees! The ones here in 'the Valley of the Sun' Phoenix, have suffered terribly this summer and all show the effects! Many have died or are in the process of doing so! Such a disaster! I sure am glad we don't have global warming though! I don't know what would happen then! (tongue in cheek) bite! bite!

Yes I would say sledding on that hill would be risky ... assuming you could get the sled to move at all :-)

I'd worry more about the dudes walking through there with guns and making sure I had the right fluroescent gear on.:D I realize this probably doesn't happen at the same times of year, though. Seems like a flat-ish area for sledding? What "risk?" Lotta bears? Great capture Mike.:)

It's a sad statement about the lack of common sense in our society today.... All those warnings are simply.... common sense. sad that they have to post signs. Of course if someone got hurt acting like a fool, they would want to sue the sate or whoever owns the property.
