Description
External Venetian blinds? Actually that side of the building faces north and not the sun, so perhaps they're just plain vertical louvers for effect.
Captured when I wasn't shooting their elegant nearby rose garden, way back on 11/27/05, at the beautiful Rose Hills Memorial Park (a cemetery), in Whittier, California.
Shot at a low resolution, so don't bother to ZOOM.
And, sorry Mark, but people are just dying to get in that place.

Lol, you've used that line a few times before, but as my grandfather used to say, a good joke is a good joke, no matter when you tell it. (He said that in a heavy Yiddish accent---from Russia. I can imagine the great jokes he heard back in Minsk, in 1900...) Those verticals look like architectural elements, and for the life of me I can't figure out what they have to do with a mortuary. The place looks more like a government agency, or a headquarters of something. Anyway, sweet capture of the verticals, and the light traveling through them; and you lined the pole up with them too. You've been studying line and form probably from the first time you picked up a camera. It calls you! I can't get over that that thing is a mortuary. What a strange design for one!
