"Don't go!" Despair was audible in his voice. They had just such a brief moment in this old temple ruin.
She smiled briefly and got up. "I promised you that I will follow wherever you go."
He lifted his hand to hold her back. "You don't know yet what it means! There will be no way back."
Gentle fingers touched his face. "You are still the same despite of the transformation, thus I will manage it too."
"That is not entirey right... you..", he swallowed, "you will always have to fight the demon power. For ever! You must not do it, not even for me."
"Together it will be easier..", she replied, freed her fingers frim his hand and straighted up to leave.
