Yet another stunning image from you. I agree that the depths of the sea are like the depths of the human soul---they're endless and immensely profound and mysterious. And both regions seem to contain the very secret of life. Your portrait of the deep sea is stunning: I love the texture of your fish. They seem to be wrapped in foil---like Christmas foil. They're like big sculptures which you wrapped in very special metal foil. And then you painted each fish.
Some of the fish are like glass. And the sea itself has "planes," geometric planes, suggesting that the sea has many levels of reality. Then again, those 'planes' could be the sea-walls. It could be the quarry walls at the bottom of the sea. I like the ambiguity.
Wonderful colors---they're dark (because this is the bottom of the sea), but they're still bright. And that fish in front---the big red fish who is pushing his way to the front of your painting?---his fins are like the rays of the sun. Or like big wings on a plane. He seems to be the 'global emissary' of this deep world. Beautiful work, Giuliano. Another masterful piece of total imagination from you!
