Description
Nearly every show like the one we went to on Saturday have this rescue. Its for Huskies/Malamutes but in this line up there are some different breeds. The dogs all seem very happy, in the pics they are all looking towards the people who are with them as they are getting them water but the one laid down in the foreground is taking not the slightest bit of notice as s/he is chomping on a chewy.
Huskies/Malamutes are sledge dogs & are used to cold climates. They seem to be very popular at the moment but what people don't understand is they don't really like living in very warm houses, they love to be outside. Also I have heard people say that their Husky pulls, oh really, that is what they are bred for. I do wish people would do their homework before getting a breed & I wish breeders would tell all the facts. That is how these lovely dogs can end up in rescues.

I think that people should not be allowed to have these in towns like mine. They even take them to the beach in August.

They are very beautiful dogs indeed and have special needs just like other breeds.

It's the same here with an assortment of breeds. People get them because they are popular, then dump them because they don't fit into their lifestyle. It seems humans never learn.
